How is this different from a standard smoke alarm?
Normal smoke detector can't tell the difference between cooking smoke and recreational smoke such as cigarettes, marijuana, and vaping. Sentry knows the difference and can provide an accurate report so you can file an insurance claim to fix the damages.
Can the device listen to my conversations?
Sentry protects your privacy and cannot listen to your conversations, it only measures noise levels. Also it does not store any sound data or transmit sound data to the cloud.
Does it detect marijuana and vaping?
Yes. It knows the difference between unwanted recreational smoke like cigarettes, marijuana and vaping vs. cooking smoke, that a standard smoke alarm would detect.
Who gets notified when guests are too loud?
Whoever installs Sentry mobile app and enables sentry on their account.
How many do I need for my house?
