Tracking air quality

The Wynd Tracker measures the amount of particulate matter (PM) in the air. PM includes things such as dust, allergens, industrial pollution, and more. The Tracker uses this measurement to calculate the air quality index (AQI). The tracker’s light color indicates the AQI.

Here's what the Wynd tracker's light colors mean:

Blue
AQI: 0-50
Good
Air quality is considered satisfactory, and air pollution poses little or no risk.
Yellow
AQI: 51-100
Moderate
Air quality is acceptable: however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.
Orange
AQI: 101-150
Unhealthy for sensitive groups
Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. The general public is not likely to be affected.
Red
AQI: 151-200
Unhealthy
Everyone may begin to experience health effects, members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.
Magenta
AQI: 201-300
Very unhealthy
Health alert: everyone may experience more serious health effects.
Purple
AQI: 301-500
Hazardous
Health warnings of emergency conditions. The entire population is more likely to be affected.

We use the EPA standard algorithm to convert particulate matter to AQI. Read more about particulate matter here.

Using Auto Mode

Auto mode automatically adjusts the Purifier's airflow based on the air quality (as sensed by the Tracker). Turn it on by pressing the "A" button. Both the Purifier and Tracker must be on and connected for Auto Mode to work.

Wynd's light ring turns teal when Auto Mode is on and white when Auto mode is off.
